IT’S MINI ALL IRELAND WEEK – LET THE GAMES BEGIN !!

September 07, 2024 532 Views

This is our favourite week of the year !!

We are only a few days away from the start of 2024 Templeogue Synge Street (TSS) GAA club Mini All-Ireland.
This year is the 10th anniversary of TSS Mini All-Ireland AND the clubs 25th Anniversary AND the 50th anniversary of LGFA (we have over 700 girls / women in TSS playing at different levels).

It will be the biggest ever with 750 girls and boys signed up and ready to go! Thanks to you all for supporting this landmark event in our juvenile calendar.

Aside from the work done by our volunteers this could never happen without the generous support of our sponsors and advertisers, and we are particularly grateful to our headline sponsors: Capital Credit Union, The Two Sisters, Parts for Cars and Park Financial Planning.
We really hope that the children enjoy the experience at the TSS Mini All-Ireland and you enjoy some of the club atmosphere around the event.

Remember it runs on the evenings of Tuesday to Thursday (10th - 12th September) and then Saturday 14th from 1pm.
Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Where is it on? ETB Sports Grounds (VEC), Templeogue Rd, Terenure, Dublin 6W, Co. Dublin Google Maps Link.
  2. Which County Team are my children on ? The teams are all picked and can be viewed in the eProgramme here: https://www.yumpu.com/s/ jJwaAqntObYBeF9i
  3. What time are our matches on at? The fixture times are also in the eProgramme. Please note that match times for each team vary each day.
  4. Will be able track our progress during the week? Yes results and table standings will be available here: https://www.tournify.uk/live/tssminiallireland2024
  5. What time should we arrive? Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your fixture time to give us enough time to hook the players up with their County teams and Bainisteoiri, hand out the county t-shirts and get to the correct pitch before the hooter goes off.
  6. Is there a code of behaviour for adults? Absolutely! We would ask everyone attending to support the TSS #PositiveSidelines Policy (see eProgramme). This week should be pure fun and football for all. Posters will be displayed at venue.
  7. Will I miss my dinner?! Food will be available on site each evening and on Saturday, with kid’s choices and coffee for the adults. See eProgramme for more info.
  8. Will the referee wait for us if we are late? All games and half times will be centrally controlled by a hooter. So, the game will begin whether Leo and Eoin are there or not!
  9. Can we bring our Dog along, (s)he's lovely and well trained?

Please note the (ETB) VEC Sportsgrounds (Templeogue Road, Terenure) would like to remind everyone that, for Health and Safety reasons, DOGS are NOT allowed in its grounds except for guide dogs. These are the VEC rules, please respect them.
Parking
If possible, please walk or cycle to this year’s Mini All Ireland. There will be no parking at the VEC. The gate will be open to pedestrians and cyclists only. We would like to avoid a large build-up of traffic in the area surrounding the VEC. We have access to the carpark behind St. Joseph's Church in Terenure (Tue/Wed/Thur evenings only), and also Terenure College carpark (midweek and Saturday), but please park nearest the gym/hall. Both are only a 5-minute walk down away. Alternatively, there may be parking in Rathdown Park.

Questions
All other questions should be answered in the eProgramme or feel free to come to the information tent any time during the event.
