Welcome to Club Zapp – Our New App. A note from the Chairman Denis Boland

12th January 2024,

Dear Member,

Ath bhliain faoi mhaise duit and I hope this note finds you well and rested after your Christmas. Welcome to our new app. New technology we have introduced to assist us in running our Club. As our Club approaches 2,000 members we need to improve our systems. We have chosen Clubzap as the platform we will use to help us better manage and consolidate functions that are currently in disparate systems.

1. Subscriptions and Registration,

2. Team notifications, messaging, and communications.

3. Event management and in due course Club lotto

About Clubzap (www.clubzap.com)

Clubzap is the leading sports club focused Payments and Communications platform in Ireland and it is already widely used by multiple sports organisations including GAA, soccer and rugby clubs nationwide. Clubzap works for both Android and Apple. We expect that Clubzap App will

improve all our members experience in each of the three areas noted above. It will also ease an enormous administrative burden that goes on behind the scenes with our current systems which involve a lot of manual intervention.

The introduction of Clubzap is not intended to eliminate WhatsApp for communications, however Clubzap App will become the primary communication channel, WhatsApp will become a back-up / secondary channel.

We expect the benefits of integrating communications, attendance, registration and fundraising all on one platform will be of benefit to all members and parents. Templeogue Synge Street is about the 50 th GAA club in Dublin to introduce Clubzap, so while Clubzap may be new to some of us, it is software that is tried and tested by c.50 other GAA clubs in Dublin (and Ireland) already. We received excellent references for other clubs using the software. Of course some of you will already be familiar with it through other local sports clubs that use Clubzap.

Timeframe

January 2024:

Phase 1: We are now live with Subscriptions and Registration in January 2024. We hope you find this a very straightforward and intuitive process.

During January we will have training sessions for members and managers on Phase 2 functionality, particularly Team management, notifications and messaging.

February and March 2024:

Phase 2: We expect to be ready to go live with Team management, notifications and messaging.

Later in 2024:

Phase 3: We expect to launch a Club lotto. We will outline more about that once Phase 2 is underway. General Club communications (such as this one) will all migrate to Clubzap

Finally, Rolling out new software is always a challenge. Some love new technology, some prefer the more familiar status quo. I would ask you all for your patience and perseverance as we want

to get this right as quickly as possible. Our aim is to make this straightforward and instructions on next steps will follow shortly. I would like to thank our volunteer team led by Roisín McGarry who are managing the

implementation of Clubzap for us. So much of what we do relies on volunteers giving of their time. We could not do so much of what we do without volunteers like Roisín and so many

others.

Go raibh maith agaibh go leir.

Is mise le meas,

Denis Boland
